"Fun? Well Rather" The Diary of Virginia Clay McClure - part of the Sesquicentennial Stories Series

February 22, 1911

Holiday, and expect something all day, all on account of a card from Milton.  Judge Barker and I rake up relationship.  Spend part of the morning with Jessie Mit in the library.  Go to joint session of Literary Societies in the evening.  Grey Rochester and Mr. Miller declaim!  O ye gods! May I never sit in the “freshman corner” again!  Very uncomfortable as to the seats.

Sunday school class at Mrs. Foley’s.  She has a lovely home.  Such a good time and delicious lunch.  Meet Miss Burgin. Georgetown basket-ball people, crowd from Prof. McGregor's and we get in at same time.  Annabel beat me one on the answers.  My first game of “42”.
